Don’t worry, Restored Living isn’t just a cool blog where I brag about all my great furniture restorations in my own home. Actually, most of my posts come from furniture owned by people just like you! People with family heirlooms that need a little TLC, young couples who don’t yet have the money for new furniture but want to invest in used, quality pieces, busy moms and dads, or interior-design enthusiast who love to thrift -but don’t have the time to recreate their own furniture. If you have solid wood furniture, I can help. I do not work with particle board furniture; however, I can paint laminate cabinets.

So, let me bring your Pinterest ideas to life. I’ve been painting and crafting for as long as I can remember. More often than not, if you have dreamt about it I can help you achieve the dream!

Services I Offer:

  • Furniture Restoration (Bringing your furniture back to its original glory)
  • Milk & Chalk Hand-Painted Furniture (I hand paint each piece with high-quality paints such as General Finishes)
  • Custom Repurposed Furniture (example: turn a hutch into a wine bar)
  • Upholstery for Common Dining/Accent Chairs, Stools, and Benches
  • Custom Signs and Chalkboards

What You Get:

  • Peace of mind, knowing your furniture is being recreated with a finish that will last
  • Customized design based on your style and home
  • Increase in value and quality of your furniture
  • A piece of furniture with one-of-a-kind character

Natural imperfections in wood and vintage furniture are part of the process. I think every piece has a story I wish we could hear, so I work to both repair and incorporate the imperfections of furniture in my re-designs, so we can understand its story a little better!

How This Works:

  1. Send me an email with pictures and measurements of your piece of furniture              -include a list of any needed repairs: bethany@restoredliving.me
  2. Tell me what look you want, and if you don’t know, feel free to ask me for suggestions
  3. Include details you might want incorporated –like new knobs, a stained top, distressing, etc
  4. I’ll confirm a design plan and give you an individualized estimate (This can be done in person if you need ideas, or via electronic communication)
  5. Complete a contract and pay a 50% non-refundable deposit
  6. At the drop off date, I will have a sample of the finish you want for your confirmation
  7. You are responsible for the transportation of your product to and from my home workshop/garage
  8. Pieces typically take 1-2 weeks depending on current projects. I allow plenty of drying time for the proper cure
  9. At pick up, you’ll inspect the piece and make sure it’s to your liking, sign for it, and complete payment. I suggest bringing towels and blankets to protect the piece
  10. Take your beautiful restored, painted, or repurposed piece home sweet home
  11. All pieces of furniture need 30 days of cure time before they are heavily used/cleaned

Estimates for 1 color finishes. Additional Detail (two-toned paint color, distressed, glazed, stained top, repairs, hardware, etc) will be added into estimate. *Estimates do include cost of paint, but not fabric for upholstery.
